RASA WINES

BY ANDREW CUMMINS

rasa /ˈrʌsəː/ literally means juice, essence or taste.
The agreeable quality of something, especially the emotional or aesthetic impression of a work of art.

Rasa is the culmination of a desire to produce natural wines

from grapes that are grown in the same thoughtful manner.

Based in the Barossa Valley on Ngadjuri & Peramangk Country.

-By Andy Cummins-

I’ve always gravitated towards using the old varieties of this place like Muscat, Semillon, Riesling, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Cinsault.

The wines tend to be savoury and it is my hope that they walk the line between being complex and approachable.

For me, the motivation is to express a sense of place through the wines, help to preserve the important grape growing history of this region, and amplify sustainable wine growing practices for the future of our industry.
